Our second week of Wednesday Advisory moves into Team-Building. This advisory thread is one that was a student-choice topic based on last year's feedback. You'll find that throughout the year, we will focus on continuous team-building as it helps students get to know each other, helps support positive peer relationships, and helps students learn to problem-solve collaboratively.
Suggested lessons and activities for this week:
6th grade advisories will explore and learn how to use their iOS calendars.
7th grade advisories can play a trivia game
8th grade advisories can continue the 30 second elevator pitch activity, choose a different team-building activity or try the trivia game.
30 Second Elevator Pitch- Develop an introductory statement to help get your Advisory and Advisor to know you. Advisors can participate too!
Things to include/think about:
Who am I? The basics about you (don’t forget your name).
What have you been up to lately (past and present experiences)?
The future (what goal(s) do you have for this year).
How you will contribute to this Advisory and/or what do you want to get out of this Advisory?
Anything you would like us to know about you?
Get creative- you could make it a poem or a song
